I haven't always been shy it started in 7th grade all the way to presently 10th. I f**king hate it. Shyness is a character flaw and idgaf what anyone else says. Sorry, but 3 is the only thing I would be able to do. Do you know how hard it is to "smile and say hi" for a shy person? It feels like there's a lock on your? lips and your voice is chained down. You CAN'T smile or "just talk", it's hard. But what DOES help you, are having people that support you, even if it's just one person who talks to you even though you don't really respond. They'll break you eventually. Believe me. :)

As much as I would agree with your points here there are some that will be a real extreme for a shy person. Example joining a social club, a really shy? person will find this just difficult

No this doesn't f**king work. There's too many conceded f**kers our there in school that just laugh and make fun of you in front of your face simply because "you're not cool enough" or "youre ugly". Thats why there's just about zero shy attractive people out there because today, everybody f**king judges you so quickly and doesn't even give you a f**king chance. Now you guys see why people are shy? Because of f**kers out there who do nothing but label and? judge each other so quickly.

I agree w/shygirlwrites--you gotta put yourself out there and face what you fear. I used to stutter, was shy, super-self-conscious, and socially awkward. I purposefully took retail jobs so? it made me talk with people every day, speak up, and make eye contact (scarey!!!). I became more self-confident as people began listening to me and asked for my advice. It was a process of de-sensitizing myself and then getting some positive feedback. Later, I taught kids, and now adults and love it!

reading these comments make me? want to cry! why must people in social settings make us so uncomfortable? think about it this way, it's YOUR life, do you want to waste it away being shy about everything? what does it matter if you seem stupid around people sometimes, or you kind of make a fool of yourself. everyone does it, all the time. we move on, and try to find things in our lives that make us happy! because once you leave high school/college, you will actually find people that are like you:)
